if you right click on the object, clicking 'use brush' will change the brush you've got to that one, and changes all the properties (except layer) to the properties of the object you clicked on. You can then place it down again somewhere else (and change the tile if you wish), and delete the old tile. this then keeps the tile ID and properties the same as the old one.
To easy replace or resize brushes, without messing other things up,
1. right-click on the brush (spider chain) and choose "pick brush" (or press middle mouse button, if your's have one) This will set the current painting brush with all the properties of the chose one in the map.
2. right-click on the brush again and choose "delete"
3. make sure you're on the right layer and place the brush again, with the new desired size
4. test every change you make in the game
I'd say it's worth the effort to fix the spider wires. This is your game, and since you did finish and release it into a full playable game, you should do the best of you to make it look as nice and pro as possible. You don't want players to ask themselves "why does the spiders have two wires?" and probably you don't want to know their answers. Anyway, you got the idea.
I'll take a look at theses spiders soon as i get some free time.. if i can fix them that easy then I'll do it. I thought i might have to re do them all which is off putting... I'm quite happy to sort theses out..as you say no point in having a half hearted game. The idea of this game was to get theses basics in place and receive bad feedback to improve on.. Scrambled was more of an experiment and didn't get the change to push it.
Anyway I'll do it over the weekend if its raining and i can't work. Gives a chane to see if theres other problems.. i'll sort that apple out in the hideout as well.
I'll remember not to edit the readme file.. did it just to make clear it was a different version... no problem.
Second game with the same error. "Dizzy In Emerald City" has a locked start menu, only the START option is active. When unlocked, the "CREDITS" option generates an error:
