@sparkles-49 you can do somethings with the flowers, that will be useful for eliminating the ghosts

also check the chests, when you open one of them, you can see a combination of colors :)

Funny, i think that i found a bug, you dont need to give that little pirate a magic lamp, just wait until he gets close enough, then jump to the left, he kicks you high up, a little luck, you can stand on the screen above him, just with right timing, you can jump to the left, and then you suddently are cross him, and!! talking to the big pirate, he wants a bottle of wine, fine, head back to the wineshop, get a bottle, back to the pirate again, he says that the bottle is not open, back to the wineshop again, then there is another bug, you can in fact buy another bottle of wine, its outside the shop... pick it up, and you have 2 bottles of wine...

I've tried all the combinations of colours from the chests but can't see any writing on any wall.  I STILL can't find that ******* gold key. I'm grateful to everyone who's helped me but nothing seems to work when I do it.  Might try the off licence bug to see if i can get any further.!!!

Thanks Sun2003 but I’ve already opened all the chests.  I wrote down the colours on the lids but NOT the keys that opened them.  I don’t suppose you could give me the correct sequence?

I pressed the buttons: white, green, yellow, blue, red, brown.

@sparkles-49 The writing (symbols) Piotrek has shown a screenshot of appear in the section with the dragons (from memory). The chests which are two-tone in colour when opened... to open all of them, you need to find a green key in another section in order to continue opening the rest of the chests. The final one is yellow-yellow on the inside. I think there was a key in that final chest but I can't remember if it was a gold one or not. (Sorry.) I'm not sure if this is correct but I pressed the coloured buttons in sequence from left-to-right, based on the positions of the chests. So the first being "light green - dark blue" and the last being "yellow-yellow". 

I found a game bug. I pressed the buttons: white, green, yellow, blue, red, brown. The door opened.

It may not be a bug, Piotrek. The long sequence I did may not have opened the door. I might have opened it pressing a different sequence. I'm not sure exactly.  

Sun: after buying a second bottle of wine, only 1 bottle appears in my inventory (not two). Interesting that you have two. 

Grandad: any hints on what we're all missing? Items we have left: spade, garlic, magnifying glass, bottle of wine. Things we need to do: open the wine for the pirate; have enough money for the ship master. 

There are so many great touches in this game! I love the vines which swallow you up and the door entrance with the different coloured blocks on top of it, as well as the underground section with the coloured transport buttons. It's such a clever game! And hugely enjoyable to play.  

I've no idea how you're getting the extra wine Eggy, I've tried but after getting one bottle, the next time Dizzy speaks to him he says 'I don't need any more drink'. Nor can I get the door to the pirate area open by pressing any combination of the top row of buttons (which give the water valve when pressed in the correct order - which is the colours on the open chests).

[spoiler title="rubic cube hint"]In the Rubic cube area, when you have pressed all the green bricks a wall opens in the that area which gives you access to 3 gold gems, a sheet of organ music and a note telling you that there are four secret rooms in the area... try jumping up when you get the spade.[/spoiler]

[spoiler title="'walls' area hint"]in the 'walls' area where you use the golden key from the rubic cube area, the clue in the extra room in the green area, says 'especially if you jump when changing rooms'. If you've played 'Seymour goes to Hollywood' or my Dizzy version, in the space area you have to jump right when using the teleport to land in a secret room. Likewise in this game you have to jump right immediately after selecting the room colour - I'll leave it to you to figure out which room you are jumping too {yolkfolk}:scratch: .[/spoiler]

I have: 595 coins, crowbar, spade, garlic, magnifying glass, captain's certificate, can of petrol. I don't know what to do. I need 600 coins where is 5 coins? How to stop snakes from taking up energy?

Thanks for the hints Grandad they were a great help and I've moved on quite a bit.  I'm stuck now wrestling with those dragons.  I have 5 bells and can reach the yellow and purple gems but they get me every time.  I'm also still having trouble with the buttons.  I noted every box as I opened it and tried pressing the coloured buttons in that sequence.  No joy and I tried the combinations other players suggested but still no go 

Open 3 boxes and press the buttons: red, light blue, light purple, dark green, the door will open.

Open the remaining boxes. Touch the valve on the metal pipe. Press the buttons:
red, light blue, light purple, dark green, orange, light green, dark blue, dark purple, white, pink, brown, yellow, you will get a metal wheel.

I’ve done the dragons but no luck with the buttons.  I’ll keep trying though.

Thank you Piotrek, I've now done the buttons and got the corkscrew.  I need one more piece of photograph and I also think I need a crowbar.  Items I have are:-  six coloured gems, spade, garlic, corkscrew, magnifying glass, magic lamp, large lead key, six coloured flowers (for ghosts).

The bug worked for me too.  I now have a Captain's certificate that I have no idea what to do with.  i think I'll still need to do the photo puzzle to get all the money.
