I think its a very good game, critics is normal, not funny if the game is over too fast, good to have some good challenges, thinking what do i need or have to do :) there is for example a few of Grandads games i never completed, love to play them again later :)

Found the screwdriver and placed the water pipe, is there also a construction map ???? hmmm... does that mean there is a map to be found, or is there a map by pushing a letter on keyboard ????

@sun2003 I'm happy you're enjoying the game :smile:   The construction map is an item. It will be given to you by one of the characters a little further

@deflector Hiya.

I have recently made little progress on the latest build of the game linked on the first page.

Nice to see most of the feedback given has been taken in too. :yes:

Is it actually possible to reach the coin on the 'Minery Entrance' screen?
I can't seem to reach it all, even with the 'Piedmont' platform now moving.

Anyway, stuck again and my progress is this:
I've got Construction Map ("sort of" used), Jack's Pickaxe (used twice), Sharp Scythe (used twice), Rope, Crowbar (reclaimed), Cheese, Uniform, Screwdriver and 13 coins.

@khaosadz Hi! It's nice to deal with experienced testers, hope these changes will bring more fun to the game's progress :smile: Yes, all coins are reachable (just a long jump from the moving platform). Now you are about to get down to the castle dungeons (zoom map tile :o_o: to find the place) and don't forget about the thing you've borrowed :wink:

You can check the previous pages of the topic to find more hints.

Hi deflector, I completed the game a few days ago and I had a quick look at the update too. I've got a few thoughts if you're interested.

First, the game looks really good. The use of colour, the little details all nicely done. Theo's study was particularly nice.

I liked that the plot was integrated into the game. It wasn't just a series of arbitrary puzzles - there was a sense of direction to it.

Some of the puzzles were really good. Like the power supply in the barn - it took me ages to work that out, then I kicked myself, the clue was right there.

That being said, the game is definitely on the hard side. Some of the puzzles are just too difficult I think. At the very least, I'd change the grass/scythe puzzle. Either put in a clue (maybe Denzil has lost his crowbar: "It was right here! Where did it go?") or change the grass to something that stands out a bit more. As it stands there's just no clue that there's even a puzzle to solve there.

Anyway, congratulations on your first game and I'm looking forward to the next one! {yolkfolk}:clap: {yolkfolk}:clap: {yolkfolk}:clap:

@noggin-the-nog Congrats! :tup: You are the first who solved this adventure (actually it was only a prologue to the big story) and I am happy you liked it. I've marked all positions where you get stuck and I'm working on intermediate hints in dialogs (especially about getting to troll). It was great you solved the columns puzzle without a hint (it appears in Denzil's house after reaching it).

Dizzy in Borderland won't be so easy as this one) :tongue: :devil:

@sun2003 oh.. actually you can't have a screwdriver and bridge kit at the same time)

I suggest you should check grandizzy's hut again.. or find a place where to use the bridge kit in the village (If you have it for sure)

@deflector We'll I don't know how I managed it but I've finished! {yolkfolk}:yahoo:

Although I did go through some past clues in the thread, including that one coin in the mine ceiling that Noggin had trouble finding.

I pretty much agree with what Noggin has said and have nothing else to add.

Most of my puzzle solving and finding the other hidden was mostly by accident if I'm honest. :lol:

I wasn't able to find any major bugs on my run and I'm delighted to hear some of the SFX from this site on the game too. {yolkfolk}:clap:

It's a great effort for a first game and I look forward to seeing how the rest of the story goes.

Also glad to help out with some of the conversations.   :smile:

Whenever you feel ready, I can have the game ready to be shared online by this weekend if possible.

@khaosadz Nice! I'm really happy you liked it. It was just playing around dizzyage editor and it was then transformed into something like a story.. My coding skill is primitive but I promise to insert some cutscenes and water play in the next game :teethy: .

Thanks for the test and help. I'll make some minor fixes and prepare the final version by tomorrow and message you.
