Hi everyone! Finally, my first game is done. I suppose some minor issues are still present in it and I hope you will test the gameplay and the story dialogues to fix them (my English is not good enough for it). I hope you will enjoy it!

UPD: v.2.02

(simpler warehouse screen, change some puzzles to more logical visually, dialogue fix)

UPD: v.2.03

(clue dialogs are added, minor fixes, dry grass puzzle is remade)

Hi.

Had a quick play and it all looks interesting :)

Will have a proper play later once we figure out how to fix this broken forum.

Downloaded and had a little play tonight. Haven't solved a puzzle yet, but I like the look of the game. The graphics are really good.

Just had a quick play and I just love puzzles like 'The scythe isn't sharp enough'. So well done deflector, I think I'm going to enjoy playing (or testing) this game... in fact, I'm putting my new game on hold while I have fun with this one.

Nice to hear you've made time for it)

I hope the puzzles are complicated enough for interesting gameplay but feel free to ask about hints :)

@deflector Sorry, but really don't like the warehouse screen. I've spent over two hours trying to progress, even just moving a tiny step and then jumping up, left and right to try and get somewhere. Once I got to the top left of the screen, but couldn't get any further, although there was a dip that I couldn't drop down. Unfortunately, that screen is far too difficult for me as there aren't even any hints and spending over two hours on one screen stops being fun.

@grandad

:surprise: Sorry to hear that.. If this screen is so boring even for experienced adventurers I should ease the difficulty of it. Walkthrough below:

Not boring deflector, just 'very' difficult. As I said, I got to the top left of the screen once! but couldn't drop down the dip which is what the walkthrough shows. Also I assume the left jump from the bottom middle is very precise as I only managed to make that jump once.

Perhaps just a little more leeway in the size of the 'blocks/dynamic colliders' rather than pixel perfect.

Other than that really enjoyed getting to the warehouse (and discovering the locked castle door  )

Hiya.

Finally managed to have a proper play last night, didn't get as far as Grandad though.

Well here's what I found so far, a few nickpicky ones and I know you said English isn't your first language, but I hope these suggestions can help.
1) - Ambient sound in the background doesn't loop (I'm guessing it isn't meant to?).

2) - Denzil's dialog "ON MY EYES, DIZ!"
Try this -> "RIGHT BEFORE MY EYES, DIZ!"

3) - Denzil's dialog "DOZY WAS GOING TO MAKE BONFIRE"
Try this -> "DOZY WAS MAKING A BONFIRE"

4) - This one a bit nitpicky, I'm sometimes OK with pixel-perfect jumps, but trying to reach Denzil's hut is quite frustraiting espeially if you try it the second time.

5) - This text "AND FIX TIGHTLY CROWBAR IN IT..."
Try this -> "AND STICK THE CROWBAR TIGHTLY INTO THE HOLE..."
I know it sounds like an innuendo, but then again don't forget that Spellbound had "Windy Shaft" and "Dylan's Hole".
That's about it so far, completley stumped now.
I've got Sausages, Scythe (used once), Dry Grass, Cup of Coffee, Cheese, Dylan's Hat, Eyeglasses and Rope, and 2 coins.

Keep up the good work.

@khaosadz nice! so you are about to use the scythe for the second time (make it usable) and you know where is the place I guess :) And check properly village platforms... there can be something hidden. As I understand you got over the rock block solving the puzzle with the crowbar, so you should have one additional high-tech item.

Many thanks for the dialogues help!

@sun2003 hi. Firstly you should get on higher village platforms.. (Find the hidden switch in 'up in the trees' screen)!

Make your scythe sharper to go through mine weeds.. (Use a sharpener in the barn and turn on the electricity outside previously)!

Have fun!

@sun2003 get on the platform where you found Denzil's walkman (the branch on the right side is the switch)

Thanks Sun, so it's just me that can't get past the warehouse screen... even with the walkthrough :wall:

So far.  {yolkfolk}
I'm guessing you've never experienced the 'Amazing Illusion' from Fantasy World?

I didn't find it overly frustrating, but it did take me a few minutes to obtain pass key 4 and find the route that takes you to the screen at the bottom of the warehouse.

Anyway, the branch switch I found by accident and I managed to progress a little further.

So far I've now got - Detonator, Cheese, Sausages, Empty Cup, Cup of Coffee, Dylan's Hat, Sharp Scythe (used twice) and Rope, with 5 coins.

Will have another go later.

@khaosadz  Nope, no problem with Fantasy World's illusion screen, or any other ones in the fan games... including 007's pipes. Just can't get to grips with this one. I still have trouble getting over to the top left and can only manage to drop down the gap by quickly pressing the right and left arrow keys alternately about ten times... and still failing miserably to drop down most times  . Have managed to reach the coin (once or twice), but never managed to get to the top left item - or even out of the bottom of the screen.

Perhaps my fingers are too old for this pixel perfect type puzzle  {eggs2}:granddizzy: .

I've been playing this a while and I'm a little behind Adz here. I've got 4 coins and I haven't found the empty cup yet.

I'm finding the game a bit too difficult. I was able to do the warehouse after watching the video, but there's no way I'd have managed it without help. (I tried!)

I found the hidden switch in the trees by chance - I wasn't looking for a switch, I just actioned it accidently. Did I miss a clue? It seems like there should be a clue, like there was for turning the electric on on the barn. (Good puzzle btw)

I completely stuck now - no clue what to do next. Do I have to use the scythe again? Adz says he used it twice. Or the key card from the warehouse?
