Yes, It's a playable demo which was released for "Crash Magazine" on the Spectrum and "Amstrad Action" for the Amstrad.
Possibly as a way to encourage people to buy the full game back in the day.

According to this longplay, you can collect the ingredients for the potion but you can't reach Zaks.
Some sections of the map are blocked off and some items cannot be picked up.
Infact, trying to pick up some items gives you various messages including mentions of other Dizzy games like Fast Food and Treasure Island.
