Greetings all.

Sorry for missing out on posting our usual Easter message for this year.
It's mainly because of Internet-related reasons, nothing too serious.

So better late than never...

Before I begin my usual post of what's going on with this site, I'm going to start with a couple of fan game updates.

-- 2025 Redux of Crystal Kingdon Dizzy 2017:
Remember this?
On Easter Sunday, Evgeniy Barskiy announced a brand new version of his 2017 Spectrum game.

Instead of starting a new entry, I've updated the existing page for this game that explains the changes made.
Changes include using the improved engine from Wonderful Dizzy, graphical updates from CKD's original artist Jarrod Bentley and revised story details based on old letters and notes from Philip Oliver.

Apologies to Evgeniy for my late response!

-- Costa Lotta Island update
The logo and screenshots for Steve Rennie's latest game have been updated to show the game in its original pixel quality.

I recently got a new laptop that runs on Windows 11 which alters the screen displays for DizzyAGE games and some emulators, making them look blurry.

Eventually managed to figure out that I can configure my screen display settings for whenever I need to collect screenshots for future updates, so that shouldn't happen again.

-- The Dizzy Fansite: What's going on?
It's not unusual for this site to go through a long period of little to no activity.

For the last few months, my focus has been on our sister site, "The Codemasters Archive" - which will also be given a news update sometime soon explaining what's been going on over there.

-- E-mails and other issues
If you been visiting our forum recently, you'll have seen the message about this site's E-mail system not working.

Yes, I'm afraid it STILL hasn't been dealt with.
Turns out it isn't just the forum affected by the outage, but its the entire site, including the shop.

I cannot confirm this, but its highly likely that CloudNext - who is this site's current service provider, may have disabled our E-mail system without warning and at the same time disabled our ability to upload large EXE files, even when they're zipped - which is also really bad for us as we do occasionally upload those type of fan games.
The Codemasters Archive server also has the same problem regarding the uploads.

I know this has been a problem since Autumn last year, it just can't be helped right now.
If you have been trying to contact us by E-mail - Don't - But you can still contact us via our social media pages.

That's about it for now.
I know this news post is quite short - the activity here really is that bad!
But I'll leave you all with this stunning art work from Pit.

Happy belated Easter, and again I'm deeply sorry I wasn't able to post anything on Easter Sunday as I planned.
That's probably my punishment for becoming a Windows 11 user. :P

Take care all.
