History

In December 2010, we were given a box of old cartridges and diskettes from Philip Oliver for us to look at. They contained unfinished prototypes of Wonderland Dizzy, Dreamworld Pogie, Panic Dizzy! and one which was quite interesting.

"Dizzy The Adventurer (Early Version M.D)"

When putting the cartridge into a Mega Drive, it booted up and we managed to record some footage which we uploaded to YouTube in March 2011.

So we had the cartridge, we could see it was unfinished. What could we do?

The game stayed in limbo for 4 years until we were able to acquire a Retrode. We managed to dump the ROM. We had the game.

Unfortunately we were unable to pull the game data as it was already compiled and we could not complete the code.

In 2017, Philip sent us another box... containing many artefacts of Dizzy's adventures.Among them was a source code...

We backed up the disks and found that Dizzy The Adventurer was there! In bits but it was there. We needed to put it back together.

Using our combined knowledge of programming on the PC, we pieced the game back together.

Over the next 4 years, Team Yolkfolk worked hard to faithfully bring this lost title back to life.

Finally now, we present:

We hope you enjoy this eggsclusive adventure. Enhanced with features including a new soundtrack.

You can download the game for FREE, but we also ask for a small donation to help us continue.
