Story:
------
Excited and full of cheer, Dizzy and the Yolkfolk set off on their very first
holiday of the year! A grand adventure to the Isle of Wight!"

They travel so hastily to Pompey that they arrive a
whole hour before the ferry is set to leave for the Isle at sunrise."

Checking for his ticket, Dizzy realises it's missing!
He was sure he had it tucked away in his boxing
glove before they left home.

Before Dizzy can explain, the Yolkfolk had already
ventured off sightseeing and meeting up with old friends.

"I’ll have to gather up the Yolkfolk and explain what has happened.
Then purchase a new ferry ticket before it sets sail!
Its not long until sunrise! I better tighten up my gloves
and get going.."

It looks like a new adventure
has already begun…

About:
------
This is my first ever video game. As a kid I was handed down a zx spectrum and my brother and I
would play many great and many not so great games for hours on end. Out of these games there was a
particular game series that we loved to return to the most. It also over time lodged itself firmly
into our memories and has stayed there ever since. This series was of course, Dizzy! Created by the
Oliver Twins. This series has honestly been the catalyst for my love of video games.
From the puzzle solving to the brilliant graphics, music and memorable characters, Dizzy has stuck with me
for all these years.
Even now, in middle age I am still in awe and wonder at the worlds that people create in their games.
I feel it stems back to the Dizzy games, trying to work out what was behind that next door or over that platform
that was seemingly out of reach. It gave myself and many a world to imagine and get lost in.
Although games have moved on now, for me though, no matter the graphics and incredible game music,
my heart will always be back in the 80s on the zx spectrum.
Colour clashes, fast moving sprites, keyboard keys that would get stuck (after playing Target Renegade too many times),
music and sound effects that would make my imagination go wild.
In January this year (late to the party I know), I discovered DizzyAGE. I never made a game before
and my head isn't quite ready for learning machine code just yet. So what better way to start
with DizzyAge and "try" and make a Dizzy game with the help of this fantastic DizzyAge community.
So for my first ever game, I will try and make Dizzy proud.
I decided to make the game around the city of Portsmouth, so if you are playing this from Pompey,
I hope you enjoy the "crudely" created landmarks.
I've learnt so much these last few months and that's thanks to a superb creation tool, documentation and community.
Thank you for playing the game and I hope you like it.

Thanks:

Thank you to so many people in the DizzyAGE community for helping me out with random queries and coding help.
Special thanks to "Grandad" (Steve Rennie), "Noggin the Nog", Adam Markey and everyone out there that has
created many helpful videos and DizzyAGE games.

Thanks to Alexandru and Cristina Simion for creating the AMAZING DizzyAGE.

Super Special Thanks:

Thank you to my beautiful fiancée Kate for script reading, editing and encouragement throughout the last eight months.
Thank you to my family for putting up with me continuously talking about this game and how to solve issues!
Thank you to my awesome brother Dazz for all the good times and being just "AWESOME". Did you find the easter egg?

Music:

None of the music in this game is my own. Thank you for many of the .ym files from the community.

Troubleshooting:
By default, the game runs in 640x480 windowed mode (scale x2).
It should have sound enabled, keyboard and joystick support.
The game uses dizzy.ini for keeping it's settings.
You can adjust them from the provided setup, or even manually.
If you have troubles with your joystick or gamepad, try to
switch it to analogue mode, calibrate it, or edit the dead zone
values in dizzy.ini with higher values.
If you experience troubles running the game,
try checking the log messages (enable them from setup),
visit the official web site for details, or contact the author.
